Andor Series Taps Succession Composer for the score

Boba Fett’s Book ended this month, and Star Wars fans can’t wait to find out if The Mandalorian spin-off will have a second season. While we wait for more news from Boba, there’s plenty more to look forward to from Lucasfilm and Disney+. This May will see the long-awaited return of Ewan McGregor playing the titular in Obi Wan Kenobi. Fans can also look forward to the premiere of Star Wars: Andor arrive sometime in 2022. star wars: Andor is defined as a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spin-off series starring Diego Luna. The series reportedly wrapped filming last year, and an exciting name has just been added to the behind-the-scenes lineup. According to film music journalist, Nicholas Britell will compose the music for the show.

Britell is best known for composing the music for Succession, Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk, Don’t look up, Cruel, Vice, The big courtand The Underground Railroad. Britell has been nominated for three Oscars during his career, including one for Don’t look up, who is on the list of nominees for the next ceremony, which is due to take place on March 27. Britell was also nominated for three Emmy Awards and won one in 2019 for creating the Succession theme.

As for Andorthe cast of the series also includes Stellan Skarsgård (Dunes), Adria Arjona (Morbius), Fiona Shaw (Kill Eve), Denise Gough (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), Kyle Soller (Poldark) and Robert Emms (Chernobyl) in undisclosed roles. Genevieve O’Reilly and Forest Whitaker will resume their A thug roles of Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera, respectively. Ben Mendelsohn, who played Imperial director Orson Krennic, would also return. This month, Skarsgård announced that the Star Wars show had already been renewed for a second season.

“We start with [filming Dune: Part Two] in July. And then in the fall, place in the second season of the star wars series Andor“, Skarsgård said in an interview in Swedish with Dagens Nyheter. When asked when the second season might air on Disney+, Skarsgård said, “I don’t know when they’ll start airing it. It will take a while so it doesn’t take too long between season one and season two.” However, Disney-Lucasfilm has yet to announce Andor Season 2.
